Construction Begins! The permits for house #31 have finally been issued and our students have begun the site prep to install the foundation. We look forward to seeing their progress throughout the year! #WCCWeGetItDone




Manufacturing Career Day will be held at Walker Career Center next Wednesday. Students in Welding, Precision Machining, Engineering, Graphic Design, and Intro to Design classes will have the opportunity to meet nearly 20 local employers to learn about career opportunities.

We’re always looking for new work based learning opportunities for our students, even within the district! The Warren Transportation garage supervisor gave one of our automotive students a tour of the facility as they discussed a possible apprenticeship position.



Did you know that some courses in FCS create projects for state competitions? Did you know that students can earn scholarships through the competitions? FCS offers dual credit courses, as well. Scholarships + dual credits = bright future!

Look who’s back! Mr. Barney, our previous Criminal Justice teacher, was back today as a guest speaker giving life advice to our current students.


Auto Service students visited Lucas Oil Raceway to learn about the world of racing. They watched drag races, got up close to race cars, and learned about careers in Motor Sports. Work based learning students can get a jumpstart on a future career in the racing industry!
