In the Culinary Arts Careers Program, you will explore the restaurant industry from the inside out. You will learn about current trends in the industry, classical food preparation methods, restaurant management, culinary math skills, customer service, and hospitality basics. You will get hands-on experience in all aspects of running a successful restaurant right here in our very own Threshold Restaurant. In the first year at the Threshold, you will focus on quantity food preparation and in the second year, you will learn about the fast-paced environment of a working restaurant.
Students that successfully complete each year of this program and pass the admission requirements are eligible for 3 credit hours of Ivy Tech college credit, six hours total.
