WCHS

Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!

It was a true honor to celebrate Coach Larry "The Legend" Willen, whose profound impact continues to be felt by everyone fortunate enough to know him. The dedication of our new locker room in his name is just a small token of appreciation for a man who truly embodied what it means to be a Warrior. As a school, athletic program, and community, we will carry forward his legacy by embracing the values he lived by. At his core, Coach Willen simply wanted to be remembered as a good man and to all of us, he will always be exactly that.

Mid-Quarter 1 grades were due this past Friday. Grades will be posted August 27th. I encourage all to speak with their students about their current progress. Tutoring is up and going and academic help sessions are taking place during advisory. Additionally, please continue to partner with your student's teachers to ensure their continued success.

Homecoming week is the week of Sept. 1-5th. This is a short week for students and staff due to Labor Day. Tickets for the dance will go on sale in the cafeterias Sept. 3-5th. 11th or 12th graders bringing guests from different schools will need to turn in completed guest forms in no later than Friday, August 29th. Leading up to the big game on Friday, the 5th we will showcase our school spirit with Spirit Week. Check out our school newsletter for spirit week themes.

Safety continues to be our top priority. Please continue to speak with your student about school expectations and encourage students if they see something say something. All student expectations and guidelines can be found in our Student Success Handbook posted on both the school and district Website.

School begins promptly at 7:15. Please ensure students are here on time and ready to learn. Doors open for car riders and drivers at 6:45. Students arriving after 7:15 should enter through Door 1 and grab a late pass.

Thanks for all you do to support us in supporting your student!
