Valentines day activities

Valentine’s Day is almost here, and there are plenty of places and things to do on the holiday to show friends, family and significant others how much you care about them.

DIY projects with family and friends

Making things goes far beyond just coloring and making cards. It could mean baking heart-shaped cookies together, creating scrapbooks of all the fun memories you have together or even making creative clothing, such as tie-dye shirts or other items. Doing something crafty and creative together rather than just making it alone and giving it to someone else is much more meaningful and is an amazing way to spend time together.

Ice skating

There are plenty of ice skating rinks in the Indy area, including ones in Fishers and Carmel. The reviews on both places are pretty high, with people reviewing them as family-friendly, to have good seating and affordable prices. The standard hours for the skating rinks are at least from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. There are also concession options, food and hot drinks, which is a great way to warm up after skating.

Stay-at-home spa day

A stay-at-home spa day can consist of creating a relaxing atmosphere with friends. To create that atmosphere, you can light candles, play nice music to get into the mood and have nice conversations. Food options for a spa day can be tea, caffeinated drinks and baked goods. You can also prepare a comfortable scenery with soft blankets, pillows and even fluffy towels and robes. The main thought of a stay-at-home spa with friends is to reconnect and stay relaxed while doing it.

Special classes

There are many possible places in Indianapolis to do pottery or painting classes together. A workshop date can help strengthen bonds and help you be more creative. Also if you don’t want to go out and take a class, a cheaper alternative is to buy the supplies and do it at home with your loved ones. If you choose to do painting, you could do self-portraits, scenery paintings or make something for your loved ones.
