As the semester and the year wind down, and the holiday season continues, the first half of our school year comes to an end. I know this past month has kept us all busy with JoG projects and finals, but in just one week, winter break will be upon us. I hope you all use this time to recharge and enjoy the holidays with your family and friends.
This is a time in which I can reflect on the issues we have put out over the past four months and see what we can improve on next semester. I am very proud of the work we have put out and can’t wait to bring you even more issues. As a staff, we work very hard to bring you the Owl every month. It brings me so much joy to be the Editor-In-Chief of the Owl, and I hope you have enjoyed all the issues we’ve put out so far and the issues we will put out in the future.
In our final issue of 2025, we have included many stories with a variety of topics, such as an opinion column on A.I.’s impact on human creativity, a news story on the new esports team, a review of the Metroid Prime 4 video game, and coverage of many of our winter sports.
Along with that, we are also continuing the Owl Scavenger Hunt from last issue, but this time with a little twist. Instead of searching for the coupons, you must find the five hidden ice cream cones throughout the issue. After finding all five, scan the QR code which will take you to our Google Form. Fill out the Google form and tell us which pages you found the ice cream on to receive a coupon. The first fifty students to fill out the form with the correct hiding places will be put on the list to get a free ice cream. Make sure to have your student ID to receive your prize.
With this being the most wonderful time of the year, I hope you all can get in the holiday spirit and take part in many winter activities. This is a time to have fun with friends and loved ones, to celebrate whatever holiday traditions you may have and to make the most of the holidays. For me, this is my favorite time of year, full of holiday cheer, hot chocolate, Christmas movies, tree decorating and so much more. Whatever you end up doing with your time off, enjoy it.
We only have one week left of the semester. I wish you all luck with the remainder of your finals and JoG projects. Merry Christmas and happy holidays, Warriors! I hope you all have a great winter break. See you next year!
