Beginning Web Design
Grades 10-11-12 (one semester)
Create your own Web Page! It is as easy as H T M L. Developing and designing a web page can be done on any computer with notepad. Start your own web page or get hired to create one for someone else while in high school! You will work on various projects throughout this semester-long course that will be extremely useful for any personal sites you would like to create. To be eligible for dual credit you must take this class fall semester followed by Advanced Web Design in the spring.
Advanced Web Design
Dual Credit Ivy Tech (3 hrs) if two semesters are taken
Prerequisite for Dual Credit: ACT R18/W17/M18, PSAT R46/W46, SAT R460/W460, ACCUP R76/W80
Learn the latest advanced techniques for designing web pages. Students electing this course must have completed Web Design. Students in this course will use advanced programs to learn how to enhance, maintain, and publish more professional looking web pages using various software programs including the Macromedia Suite. Students will also become proficient in computer peripherals such as flatbed scanners and digital cameras. Dual enrollment is available through Ivy Tech Community College is you take Beginning Web Design 1st semester.
